Songs, play mark St Xavier’s annual event

Description: A colourful cultural programme was organised to mark the annual day celebration of St. Xavier’s High School here on Saturday. The event began with lighting of the traditional lamp, followed by a welcome song presented by students. The main attraction of the show was a musical play, ‘Jagao Mera Desh’, based on the poem ‘Where the mind is without fear’ by Rabindra Nath Tagore. It presented a panoramic view of the cultural heritage of the country, its plight and suggested ways to regain the lost glory.
