St. Xavier’s High School, Patna, put up a grand show on the occasion of its Annual Day on December 1, 2018, under the supervision of the Rector, Fr. Jose Elampassery, S.J., Principal, Fr. A. Christu Savarirajan, S.J. and the Vice- Principal, Fr. Devashish Prasad, S.J. The programme started at 4.30 p.m. with the inauguration by the chief guest, Dr. Aditya Prakash, IAS, DDC, Patna. The guests of honour were Dr. Shankar Dutt, HOD, Department of English, Patna University and Dr. Shivendra Sahay, a former student of the school and a reputed eye surgeon. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp followed by a welcome song, a prayer dance and a folk dance of Bihar. The main attraction was the musical drama ‘Jagao Mera Desh ‘ based on the poem, ‘Where the mind is without fear ‘ by Rabindranath Tagore. Shristi Anand and Akshit Kumar of Std.X were the proud Xavier medalists.
